How to Play the Carnival of Venice on Trombone

Here’s a very well put together video by trombonist Trent Hamilton on how one may go about learning how to play the Carnival of Venice on trombone. He takes each variation and important phrases and gives you clues or ideas on how you may go about finding success in performing them. It’s a great video for intermediate to advanced trombonists and can even provide welcomed insight – if not perspective – for valved instruments as well.

Here is Trent Hamilton’s video with a variation by variation creation providing tips and tricks on how a trombonist might attack the Arban’s variations on the Carnival of Venice. The version displayed on screen is, unfortunately, in treble clef – which is the version he’s playing.
